“A small Mezzotint from 2024 made from sketches returning on the Finlaggan from Port Askaig. I made two trips to Port Askaig without disembarking. This print is from the second trip as we approached West Loch Tarbert off Gigha. Part of the reason for the two sails was to refresh my knowledge of the Sound of Jura, a long and wide stretch of water at this point.
Found the distance vision too great, but for Jura it was good. The sketch used started on outward completed on return dated 09/10/23, At 4:15 returning, good light and an informative sketch, for me. The second trip was on 27/11/24, again Sound of Islay, McArthur’s Head and Jura at dusk.”
