40/40 is a suite of prints created in 2013 celebrating Glasgow Print Studio's 40 years in existence. 40 artists associated with Glasgow Print Studio were invited to make editions of 40 prints in whatever print medium they chose.

Language is central to Sue Tompkins’ work. She uses typewritten text as a basis for her works on paper and performances, repeating words and phrases out of context or playing with double meanings. In this print, ‘O Good’ is intended to convey a positive feeling about being involved with the exhibition but could be read in a number of ways. The words, typed on her own typewriter, have been placed on a background scanned from a school jotter. The accidentally smudged text was retained by the artist as she liked the effect and the suggestion of fragility.

Sue Tompkins first worked with the Print Studio in 2012 when she was commissioned to make a print for the Medium is the Message exhibition.
