This print was created in conjunction with the Glasgow Print Studio 50th Anniversary Here & Now Legacy Project. "Sight is a precious sense. My sight is deteriorating as cataracts progress. Strong light flares and colours form halos. In ‘. . . in the Eye of the Beholder’ I am projecting into the future, pondering the quality of my vision, yet determined to find beauty all around. In the meantime I shall be joining the queue and hoping for a good outcome from surgical intervention courtesy of modern medicine."

"In this varied edition two plate etching with a la poupée inking on one of the plates, you find me in my happy place . . . in a forest . . . binoculars in hand and birdsong app open . . looking out for and listening to the birds. Every day is a school day."
