This print was created in conjunction with the Glasgow Print Studio 50th Anniversary Here & Now Legacy Project. "My etching ‘Skyfall’ was produced after a trip to Glencoe just before we went into the first covid lockdown. It rained and there was still snow on the hills. It was also stormy, and the sky was heavy and in this etching I wanted to capture the atmospheric weather and the way the sky seemed to tumble into the landscape below. The composition with the low horizon keeps the sky as the focal point of this etching."

Gregory Moore was born in Larne, Northern Ireland in 1961. He graduated from Belfast Art College in 1983 with a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art. He has had a career in Graphic Design and teaching, and now works as an Artist/Printmaker. He has been a member of Glasgow Print Studio for 7 years. The printmaking techniques he uses include etching, mezzotint, drypoint etching, monoprinting and stone lithography. His paintings and prints draw inspiration from the landscape and it’s diverse wildlife, striving to capture its character and atmosphere.
