                                                    40/40 is a suite of prints created in 2013 celebrating Glasgow Print Studio's 40 years in existence. 40 artists associated with Glasgow Print Studio were invited to make editions of 40 prints in whatever print medium they chose.
Screenprinted in acid bright colours, these are the last words of writer Aldous Huxley. Suffering from laryngeal cancer and unable to speak, “LSD, 100 mg, intramuscular” was Huxley’s last written request to his wife Laura who injected him with the prescribed amount. He died a short time later.
Jim Lambie exhibited as part of Prisms & Shadows in 2005 and used the Print Studio in 2012 to create a series of prints in collaboration with seminal punk musician and writer Richard Hell.
