Elspeth Lamb

Elspeth Lamb, RSA, is a Scottish artist born in 1951. Lamb studied at Glasgow School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University and the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford. She was and is considered one of the best printers on lithographic limestone, and has lectured and published on the subject. She started teaching at Edinburgh College of Art in 1978, where she later progressed to Head of Printmaking.

 

Lamb was one of the first artists to use Glasgow Print Studio when it was set up in 1972, and has also worked as the Studio’s etching technician. She has had several solo exhibitions in the gallery.
