About

Glasgow Print Studio was founded in 1972 as an artist-led initiative providing facilities and workshop space to artists working in the medium of fine art printmaking. Now, as an internationally acclaimed centre of fine-art printmaking, Glasgow Print Studio promotes contemporary and innovative printmaking through supporting artists' practice, exhibitions, learning and conservation.

Over two galleries at our Merchant City premises we showcase our committment to excellence and experimentation in fine-art printmaking. The ground floor gallery is our principal selling space, displaying works in frames and browsers from both our studio publications and our workshop members. It also hosts a programme of monthly Featured Artists exhibitions intended to support their practice.

The first floor gallery shows our main exhibition programme. Over the years we have been fortunate to work with and exhibit some of the most important domestic and international artists and printmakers, including Elizabeth Blackadder, John Byrne, Ken Currie, Alasdair Gray, Adrian Wiszniewski, Nicolas Party, Tom Hammick and Ciara Phillips.

All works in our exhibitions and galleries are for sale, unless otherwise stated.

Income from sales goes to support local artists as well as helping sustain and develop our organisational activites.

Our gallery team are knowledgeable, committed professionals. They are on hand to help you with your visit or enquiry and answer any questions you have regarding works and their purchase.
